Austin – Vehicle Collision on Southwest Parkway Leaves 1 Dead

At least one person was pronounced deceased after a car accident on Southwest Parkway in Austin last January 28th.

At around 2:30 p.m., local troopers were dispatched to the 5800 block of SW Parkway in response to a call reporting a traffic accident. How the crash happened remains unclear at this time but it was confirmed that a woman died as a result of the collision. Her identification was not immediately released.

No one else was injured.

The Austin Police Department has yet to release information about the number of the vehicles involved as well as the circumstances leading up to the incident.

An investigation is in progress.
