Austin – Two Died in East Slaughter Lane Collision

At least two people passed away after getting involved in a car accident on East Slaughter Lane, Tuesday night.
At around 10:00 p.m., South Austin emergency crews were dispatched at 517 East Slaughter Lane to assist in a collision that involved a truck. According to initial reports, a 2017 Subaru Forester was trying to make a left turn off East Slaughter when a 1996 Chevrolet truck that was heading west crashed into it. The driver of the Subaro and his passenger died from the force of the impact. They were identified as 27-year-old Garret Davis and 27-year old Keaton Carmley.
The driver of the Chevrolet sustained unknown injuries. His identification has not been released at this time.
No charges have been filed as the investigation is still in progress.
