Austin – Traffic Accident Involving Truck Injures 1

A vehicle collision involving a truck resulted in injuries to one person on US Highway 45 in Austin, according to a local news source.

Saturday evening, at approximately 9:30 p.m., police received a notification reporting a car accident between a sport utility vehicle and a semi-truck. Initial reports said the SUV was seen traveling along the highway near Braker Lane when, for yet unknown reasons, it crashed into a semi-truck. As a result, an occupant in one of the vehicles suffered from injuries. He was immediately taken to a nearby medical facility for treatment. His identification was withheld pending notification of his next of kin.

The Austin Police Department has yet to determine the circumstances surrounding the collision. An investigation is underway.
