Austin – Thomas Edward Craig ID’d Victim of Auto Crash on Guadalupe St

The Austin Police Department has identified the pedestrian who died from injuries following a deadly collision on Guadalupe Street, August 15th.
According to reports, the victim was named 63-year-old Thomas Edward Craig.
A preliminary investigation shows that the incident took place at the intersection of Guadalupe and Kenniston Drive in central Austin. A silver 2018 Mitsubishi was traveling along the northbound lanes when it struck a pedestrian at the 6900 block of Guadalupe. The pedestrian, Thomas Craig, sustained life-threatening injuries as a result of the crash. He was taken to Dell Seton Medical Center where he was treated and released. Unfortunately, after a couple of days, he was pronounced deceased.
No other injuries were reported.
Authorities did not release information about the driver of the Mitsubishi but it was confirmed that he stayed at the scene until police arrived.
The investigation continues.
