Austin- SUV crash on North Mopac kills one

The victim who died in a car accident on North Mopac Expressway has been identified, police say.
The Austin police have identified the victim as 22-year-old Elijah Perales.
According to reports, the wreck took place at around 8:30 p.m. A 2016 Indian motorcycle was resting on the right hand shoulder of the highway when, for yet unknown reasons, an SUV heading south veered onto the right and struck the motorcycle. The impact of the collision killed Elijah Perales instantly.
The driver of the SUV, whose identification is yet to be released, remained at the scene. He is cooperating with the investigators.
Local firefighters were also requested at the scene to assist in the clearing of the site.
Anyone with information that will give light to what happened during the time of the incident is encouraged to come forward.
