Austin— Sunday Morning Crash on Lavaca Street

Authorities are still investigating a car accident on Lavaca Street which injured one person, Sunday morning.
Just after 2 a.m., police officers responded to a bicycle accident on Lavaca Street near West 6th Street. According to initial reports, a bicyclist was struck by an unidentified vehicle in Downtown Austin. When emergency crews arrived at the scene, they found an unconscious person lying on the ground. He was rushed to Dell Seton Medical Center for treatment. Officials said that his injuries are serious but non-life threatening and he is expected to recover.
No other injuries were reported.
Other details regarding the crash are yet to be released as the investigation is still ongoing as of this writing.
