Austin – Several Injured Following a Major Crash on US 183

Austin-Travis County emergency crews were dispatched just south of US Highway 183 following a collision involving a truck, early Monday morning.
According to initial reports, at least five vehicles were involved in the car pile up including an 18-wheeler truck. As a result, the 18 wheeler overturned multiple times, blocking the roadway in the process. How the crash happened was not immediately released by responding officers.
The impact of the collision injured at least six people. Three victims were rushed to Dell Seton Medical Center for further care while the three casualties refused to receive medical care. No words on the extent of their injuries.
Local investigators arrived at the scene to determine what caused this tragic accident. An investigation is underway.
