Austin – Rollover Crash on SH 183

Austin local officials are conducting an investigation about a solo car accident on State Highway 183 near McKenzie Road.

According to initial reports, the incident happened last Monday near Shivley Lane. A vehicle was seen traveling along SH 183 when it went out of control for reasons that had not yet been determined. The vehicle then rolled over, ejecting the driver in the process. When emergency crews arrived at the scene, they found the driver lying in the roadway, lifeless. He was pronounced deceased. Local authorities withheld the victim’s identity pending notification of his next of kin.

No other people were involved.

Area investigators were also requested at the scene to determine the reason why the driver lost control of the car. Further details will be available soon.
