Austin – Pedestrian Killed in Car Crash on East William Dr ID’d

The pedestrian who died in a fatal car accident has been identified by Austin law enforcement officials, according to a local news source.

The fatality was identified as 55-year-old James Lee Beasley.

According to initial reports, the incident took place just after 7:00 p.m. at the 800 block of East William Cannon Drive. Beasley was seen crossing the street when a passing car struck him. Police said the vehicle was attempting to switch lanes when the accident happened. The impact of the crash seriously injured Beasley, killing him in the process.

No one else was injured.

The Austin Police Department is still determining whether the driver of the car will be facing charges. The investigation is still in progress.
