Austin – Pedestrian Injured after Getting Hit by Car on Manor Road

Austin law enforcement officials are conducting an investigation about an auto vs pedestrian accident on Manor Road in North Austin, Thursday evening.
At around 9:15 p.m., local troopers responded to Manor Road near Springdale Road after receiving a call reporting a crash. A tweet from Austin-Travis County EMS indicated that a man was struck by an undescribed vehicle, for yet unknown reasons. When paramedics arrived at the scene, they found a man, identified only as a male pedestrian in his 40s, with serious injuries. He was immediately taken to Dell Seton Medical Center with a non-life threatening condition. His identification will be released once the next of kin has been notified.
The driver of the vehicle that struck the victim was not injured. Authorities did not confirm if he remained at the scene.
No citations have been issued as the investigation is still in progress.
