Austin- Pedestrian collision on Loop 360

Authorities are investigating a car accident which resulted in an injury of one pedestrian on Loop 360 near Barton Creek Greenbelt, Tuesday.
At around 9:37 p.m., Austin-Travis County EMS responded to 3600 block of South Capital of Texas Highway after receiving a call reporting a car accident. According to initial reports, a pedestrian was crossing Loop 360 when he was hit by a passing vehicle.
The impact of the collision left the pedestrian with injuries that are considered life-threatening. Paramedics performed CPR on the victim as he was being transported to St. David’s South for treatment. The victim was only identified as an adult male.
The southbound lanes of South Capital of Texas Highway were closed for clearing but was reopened by early Wednesday morning.
No other injuries were reported as of this writing.
