Austin – One Hurt in Rollover Collision on Interstate 45

A car accident involving multiple vehicles on Interstate 45 sent one person to a hospital, according to a local news source.
At around 2:30 a.m., police officers responded to a collision at the 100 block of Interstate 35 near Cesar Chavez. Based on a preliminary investigation, six vehicles somehow collided with each other completely shutting down the southbound lanes of the highway. How the crash took place is yet to be determined by local officials.
At least one person sustained injuries from the crash. He was rushed to the hospital for further care. Authorities said that the victim suffered from life-threatening injuries.
No one else was injured.
Local investigators were called onto the scene to determine the circumstances surrounding the crash.
