Austin – Multi-Vehicle Collision on US 183 Leaves Two Injured

At least two people were sent to a hospital after a major car accident on US Highway 183, Saturday afternoon.
At around 3:20 p.m., local troopers were dispatched to the southbound lanes of US 183 near County Road 235 in response to a crash report. According to the report, a silver Ford SUV was heading south when it struck a red Ford sedan that was attempting to make a turn to CR 235. The force of the impact sent the SUV onto the northbound lanes where it was hit by a Dodge pickup truck.
The driver of the Ford and his passenger were airlifted to Ascension Seton Medical Center and Dell Children’s Medical Center of Central Texas, respectively. Their condition was not immediately revealed.
No one else was injured.
Authorities said that the passenger, identified only as an 11-year-old passenger, was not wearing a seat belt.
