At least three people suffered from various injuries after getting involved in a car accident on Decker Lane in northeast Austin, last Sunday afternoon.
At around 12:15 p.m., local DPS troopers were dispatched at the intersection of Decker Lane and Lindell Lane to assist a crash involving a motorcycle and a sedan. Details leading up to the incident remain unclear at this time but it was determined that two people sustained serious injuries while another victim suffered from a minor injury. They were all taken to Dell Seton Medical Center where they received proper medical treatment. Their condition was not immediately disclosed.
No one else was injured as of this writing.
Autin law enforcement officials arrived at the scene to investigate who was at fault.
We would like to express our deepest sympathies to the friends and families of the injured victims. We pray for their full recovery as we hope that the Austin Police Department will do everything to bring those responsible to justice.
In Texas, car collisions happen on a regular basis. Most of the time, these events result in injuries and fatalities. Victims involved in crashes are left to deal with life-threatening injuries, damages to property, and worse—emotional trauma. While accidents are fortuitous events that cannot be foreseen, they can be prevented if only drivers had simply put their complete attention on the road and taken their responsibility as drivers more seriously. This is why, despite conscious efforts by the government to combat the increasing number of fatalities and injuries every year, crashes due to negligence is still on the rise.
