Austin – Man Died in Two-Car Crash on Congress Avenue

A major accident on South Congress Avenue resulted in the death of one person, according to a local news source.
Last November 30, at around 11:00 p.m., police responded to the 8500 block of South Congress Avenue near Ralph Ablanedo Drive following a call reporting a car accident. Initial investigation shows that a 2017 Chrysler 300 was traveling along the roadway when, for reasons that had not yet been determined, it crashed into a black 2011 Infinity. The force of the impact seriously injured a rear seat passenger of Chrysler. He was Dell Seton Medical Center at the University of Texas where he succumbed to his injuries. Authorities later identified him as 45-year-old Mark Evans.
Police have yet to determine the factors that contributed to the accident. No charges have been made as of this writing.
