Austin – Injuries Reported After Crash on Guadalupe Street

At least one person was rushed to a local hospital following a collision between a vehicle and moped, Friday.

According to initial reports, the crash took place at around 4 p.m. near the University of Texas at Austin campus at the 3100 block of Guadalupe Street. Details about what caused the accident are not clear but Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services crews said that a man was found unconscious in the road when they arrived at the scene. He was transported by ATCEMS to Dell Seton Medical Center at The University of Texas with serious, potentially life-threatening injuries.

The victim was identified only as a male in his sixties.

The Austin Police Department is gathering information about the crash. No arrests have been made as investigation is still in progress.
