Austin – Harrison Thomas Beard, Jr. Killed after Fatal Two-Car Crash

Austin local officials have named the man who died in a fatal auto collision on Farm to Market Road 973 near Pearce Lane, a local news source reported.

The victim was identified as 55-Year-Old Harrison Thomas Beard, Jr.

A 2001 Ford F-150 pickup truck, driven by Harrison Thomas Beard, Jr., was traveling along the northbound lanes of South FM 973 when, for reasons that had not yet been determined, it crashed into a 2017 Dodge Ram. Police said the Dodge Ram was heading south when it suddenly drifted into the opposing lanes, resulting in a crash. Beard was killed at the scene. Meanwhile, the driver of the Dodge was taken to St. David’s South Austin with non-life-threatening injuries. He has not yet been identified.

No other injuries were reported.
