Austin – Guadalupe Padilla Palacios Killed in North Capital of Texas Highway Car Crash

Last Saturday, a man was pronounced dead after getting involved in a vehicle collision on North Capital of Texas Highway on Loop 360, a local news source reported.

At around 12:28 p.m., Austin local officials were dispatched at the intersection of Great Hills Trail and N. Capital of Texas Hwy in response to a call reporting a collision. According to the report, a white 2016 Ford Explorer turning onto Loop 360 when it struck a box truck driven by 42-year-old Guadalupe Padilla Palacios. The box truck rolled over a number of times before crashing into a guard rail.

Police said the Ford failed to use the dedicated merge lane which may have played a factor in the crash.

Palacios was rushed to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries. Unfortunately, he was pronounced deceased the next day.

No information about the driver of the Ford was released.

An investigation is underway.
