Austin – Cyclist Hospitalized in Vehicle Accident on North Pleasant Valley Road

An auto versus bicycle accident on North Pleasant Valley Road in east Austin resulted in injuries, Friday afternoon, a local news source said.

As per the release of Austin-Travis County EMS, the incident took place at the intersection of North Pleasant Valley Road and East Cesar Chavez Street. Further details about the accident are limited at this time.

Following the crash, one person has been declared a trauma alert and was immediately transported to a local hospital where he received medical treatment. The extent of his injuries, as well as his condition, were not disclosed. No other injuries were reported.

Authorities did not release information about the driver involved.

Austin police also arrived at the scene to determine liability. The crash remains under investigation.
