Austin- Car pile-up injured 50+ people on State Highway 130

A car crash involving several vehicles injured people on State Highway 130 near Harold Green Road, last Tuesday.
At around 1:20 a.m., Austin-Travis County EMS received a call reporting a fatal accident on State Highway 130. According to reports, the crash involved 20 to 30 vehicles but it was not yet determined how the accident took place. The highway was closed throughout the morning for clearing.
The collision left 56 people with various injuries. At least nine people were sent to a hospital for treatment with non-life-threatening injuries ranging from mild to serious. No information was released about the identification of the victims.
The Austin Police department is still determining if the dense fog contributed to the crash.
The investigation is still in progress.
