Austin – Auto vs Pedestrian Crash on Airport Blvd

A 55-year-old woman died following a pedestrian accident on Airport Boulevard, Friday night, last March 27th.

At approximately 8:30 p.m., a pedestrian crash happened on Airport Blvd near East 12th Street. A female pedestrian was seen walking along the roadway when a passing black 2011 Nissan Altima struck her. Police said she was outside the crosswalk and was heading west.

The impact of the collision seriously injured the pedestrian. She was pronounced deceased by emergency crews who responded to the scene.

The driver of the Nissan Altima, whose identity has yet to be released, remained and is cooperating with investigators. It was not confirmed if he will be facing charges.

An investigation is underway.
