Austin – Auto vs Pedestrian Collision on Manor Road

At least one person was reportedly killed following a fatal collision between a car and a pedestrian on Manor Road last Sunday.
According to police, the incident occurred just after 6:00 p.m. at the 6729 block of Manor Road. A person was seen standing at the middle of the roadway when he was struck by a passing 2008 Cadillac. The impact of the collision seriously injured the pedestrian whose identity has not yet been released. He was immediately taken to a nearby hospital where he was given proper medical treatment. Unfortunately, he later died. Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle that struck the victim remained at the scene and is cooperating with responding officers. He was not hurt.
The Austin Police Department arrived at the scene to determine liability. The crash remains under investigation.
