Austin– Anthony John Diaz Hit by Bus on San Jacinto Boulevard

Authorities have released the name of the bicyclist who got pinned under a bus on San Jacinto Boulevard late Monday night.
The Austin-Travis County medic crew responded to San Jacinto Boulevard and 23rd Street after receiving a report just after 10:00 p.m. The details of the collision remains unknown but it was confirmed that a bicycle and a Capital Metro bus were involved. The bicyclist got trapped under the bus as a result of the crash.
Local authorities identified the victim as 39-year-old, Anthony John Diaz.
No other injuries were reported.
The CapMetro driver is cooperating with the investigation.
