Austin – 1 Killed Following Southwest Parkway Collision

At least one person was killed after a deadly vehicle collision on Southwest Parkway in southwest Austin, Tuesday afternoon.
According to the report released by Austin Police Department, they received a call at around 2:00 p.m. which reported a vehicular accident in the 5800 block of Southwest Parkway, near St. Andrew’s Episcopal School. A vehicle was traveling along the roadway when it left the roadway and crashed into a tree. Police said the vehicle may have been speeding before it left the roadway and crashed. As a result, the driver of the vehicle was killed at the scene. His identification was withheld pending notification of his next of kin.
No other injuries were reported.
The Austin Police Department is conducting an investigation at this time.
