Austin – 1 Dead Following Two-Car Crash on Burnet Road

One person was killed after getting involved in a two-vehicle collision on Burnet Road, Sunday morning.

Just before 9:00 a.m., Austin-Travis County emergency crews responded to Burnet Road near Braker Lane following a report of a crash. When they arrived at the scene, they found two people trapped inside a vehicle that was upside down. One of the victims, who was only identified as a man in his 40s, was extricated from the wreckage and rushed to Dell Seton Medical Center with critical injuries. His condition was not released.

The other victim, identified as a woman in approximately her 20s, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The Austin police are still determining the cause of the accident. The investigation is still in progress.
