Aubrey – Man Died Following a Collision on FM 428

At least one person died as a result of a fatal car accident on Farm to Market 428 Road, Thursday afternoon.

At around 1:20 p.m., Aubrey local troopers responded to the 1900 block of FM 428 after receiving a call reporting a collision. According to initial reports, a pickup truck was traveling along said road when, for reasons that had not been determined, it struck a truck that was hauling rocks. The impact of the collision killed the pickup truck driver instantly. He was pronounced dead by Aubrey police officers.

Meanwhile, the driver of the rock-hauling truck sustained unknown injuries. He was rushed to a local hospital where he received treatment. Authorities said that he was released the same day.

Investigators arrived at the scene to determine the factors the caused the pickup truck to crashed into the rock-hauling truck.

The crash remains under investigation.
