At least one killed in wreck on the Katy Freeway

HOUSTON, TX – At least one person was killed in a wreck on the Katy Freeway on the night of Monday, February 15, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office reports.
District 3 & traffic units working a fatal accident on I10E under BW8. A minor accident turned fatal when another vehicle struck a person who had gotten out of a crashed vehicle. According to the HCSO, an individual got out of their vehicle after a minor crash on the Katy Freeway underneath Beltway 8. That person was then hit by a second vehicle. The struck individual did not survive their injuries.
Authorities are warning drivers to stay home and out of the winter weather as much as possible.
