At least one dead after hit-and-run truck crash on SH-105 near Dobbin

DOBBIN, TX (MONTGOMERY COUNTY) – At least one person was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Montgomery County involving an 18-wheeler truck on Friday night, according to the Montgomery County Police Reporter.

The crash happened near Dobbin on eastbound State Highway 105 and S Mt. Mariah Road at about 7:30 pm., after the driver of a pickup truck crashed into the back of an 18-wheeler truck hauling a lowboy trailer as it was making a left turn. The truck driver failed to stop after the collision.

At least one person was pronounced dead after the crash.

Authorities continue to search for the 18-wheeler lowboy and the driver in question. Those with information about the crash are asked to contact the Department of Public Safety (DPS) or the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office.
