At least 1 person dead in crash south of downtown on Emancipation Ave

HOUSTON, TX – One person was killed in a collision south of downtown Houston this morning, according to KTRK.
The crash happened in the 2000 block of Emancipation Avenue, near Pierce Street and Gray Street, at about 10:40 a.m., and appears to have involved a white GMC pickup truck and a red Kia Optima.
At least one person was killed in the crash.
The circumstances of the collision are unclear at this point. No further details are available at this time.
