Arlington – Wrong-Way Collision on Matlock Rd

A fatal vehicle accident on Matlock Road resulted in the deaths of two people in South Arlington,, according to a local news source.
Last January 30th, police received a call reporting a major accident on Matlock Rd near Interstate 20 at around 7:00 p.m. Initial investigation shows that a vehicle was traveling along the highway when it crashed head-on with an SUV. Both vehicles spun due to the force of the impact.
A pregnant woman occupying the SUV suffered from significant injuries and died at the scene. She was identified as Ashley Medina Bare. Her mother was hospitalized with serious injuries. She has yet to be identified by local authorities.
The driver of the first vehicle was also pronounced deceased at the scene. He was identified as 27-year-old Tristan Bustillos.
The crash remains under investigation at this time.
