Arlington – Two-Vehicle Accident Kills One Person on New York Avenue

The Arlington Police Department is investigating a pedestrian collision which took the life of a 61-year-old man on New York Avenue, Monday afternoon.
According to initial reports, the accident happened at around 4:00 p.m. last April 8. A pickup truck was heading south near the intersection of East Sublett Road and New York when it collided with a car that was traveling along the eastbound lane of East Sublett.
The force of the impact left a 61-year-old man with serious injuries. He was pronounced dead by emergency crews who responded to the scene.
The driver of the pickup truck, whose identity remains unknown, also sustained injuries from the crash. He was rushed to a local hospital for further care. The extent of his injuries was not immediately released.
No charges have been made as the investigation is still in progress.
