Arlington – Child Struck by a Car on Green Oaks Boulevard

At least one person sustained injuries after a pedestrian accident involving a hit and run driver on Green Oaks Boulevard, according to a local news source.
Area authorities were dispatched to the intersection of Ascension and Green Oaks boulevards in response to a call reporting a collision at around 3:00 p.m. Based on a preliminary investigation, four people, including a seven-year-old boy, were attempting to cross the roadway when a passing vehicle struck the boy. The impact of the collision left the boy with a fractured leg and ankle. He was rushed to a local hospital where he will receive proper medical treatment.
No one else was injured.
The driver of the said vehicle escaped the scene even before the police arrived. His identification and the whereabouts of his car remain unknown at this time.
An investigation is underway.
