Arlington – Auto vs Pedestrian Crash Leaves 1 Dead on Interstate 20

A woman was killed after getting hit by a car on Interstate 20 in Arlington, Wednesday midnight.
According to the initial investigation, the incident happened at around 12:30 a.m. along I-20 near Matlock Road. A female pedestrian was traveling along the shoulder of the road when, for reasons that had not been determined yet, she was hit by a car. Instead of stopping and assisting the victim, the driver of the car fled the scene.
The pedestrian, whose identity has yet to be released, sustained fatal injuries as a result of the incident. She was pronounced deceased at the scene.
No one else was injured.
The Arlington Police Department is conducting an investigation about the case. Anyone who has seen the incident is encouraged to get in contact with the local authorities.
