Arlington – Auto Collision on West Division Street Leaves 1 Dead, 2 Injured

Arlington Police Department is investigating a vehicle accident that sent two people to a hospital and killed another person on West Division Street.

At around 7:00 p.m., local troopers were called to the scene of the crash at the 2400 block of West Division Street. According to initial reports, a passenger vehicle had been traveling along the westbound lane of the street when, for reasons that had not been determined yet, it ran a red light and crashed into a minivan. Police said the minivan was making a left turn towards Bowen Road when the crash happened.

The driver of the sedan sustained serious injuries as a result of the crash. He was immediately taken to a medical center where he later died. Two occupants in the minivan were also hurt and were transported to a hospital for treatment. Their condition was not immediately disclosed.

Local investigators arrived at the scene to determine liability.
