The Lubbock Police Department has identified the driver who was killed in a rollover crash on Farm to Market Road 181.

The fatality was named 32-year-old Jesus Luna. He is a resident of Hobbs, New Mexico.

Based on the initial investigation, Jesus Luna was driving a 1999 Chevrolet pickup truck along FM 181 when, for reasons that had not been determined, he lost control of the wheel upon approaching a curve. The pickup truck then overturned before coming to rest.

Luna died from the injuries he sustained from the force of the impact.

No one else was hurt, as per local reports.

Local investigators are still determining the reason why Luna lost control of the vehicle. This is a developing story.
