Andrews – 35-year-old Emily Rampone Killed in Two-Car Crash on FM 1788

A fatal two-vehicle accident caused the death of a 35-year-old female driver on Farm to Market Road 1788 last Friday morning.

The fatality was identified as 35-year-old Emily Rampone, according to Texas Department of Public Safety officials.

Rampone was driving an undescribed vehicle when, for reasons that had not been determined, he lost control of the vehicle, exited her lane, and collided with a passing Ford F-250 pickup truck. The impact of the collision killed Rampone instantly. DPS said that she was not wearing her seatbelt during the time of the collision.

The driver of the pickup truck was not injured. His identification was not disclosed.

No citations have been issued as the investigation is still in progress.
