Amarillo – Woman Died in Two-Car Accident on NW 24th Ave

Amarillo police officials have identified the woman who died in a fatal car accident on Northwest 24th Avenue last week, April 1st.
The fatality was identified as 32-year-old Margaret Marion Finch. According to the initial investigation, the incident took place at the intersection of NW 24th Ave and North Jefferson Street. Margaret Finch was driving a 2005 Nissan Altima along the eastbound lane of 24th Ave when it crashed into a 2007 Mercury Mountaineer that was heading west. As a result, Finch and two more occupants sustained serious injuries and were rushed to a local hospital where they received proper medical treatment. Unfortunately, Finch succumbed to his injuries despite life-saving measures.
Police said the driver of the Mountaineer was attempting to make a turn towards Jefferson when the accident happened.
Investigation is underway.
