Amarillo – Sunday Crash on Interstate 27 Kills Infant

An infant has succumbed to the injuries she sustained from the fatal car accident on Interstate 27, according to a local news source.
Police said that a 2003 Ford Taurus was stalled at the left lane of the highway when a 2014 Hyundai Sante Fe rear-ended it. The Hyundai spun multiple times and collided with a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado in the process.
A two-month-old passenger in the Ford Taurus suffered from serious injuries caused by the force of the impact. She was rushed to a hospital in Lubbock where she later died. Another child and a 19-year-old occupant in the Taurus were also taken to the hospital for further care. Their condition was not critical, as per reports.
No charges have been made as local officials are still determining liability.
The accident remains under investigation by the APD Traffic Investigation Squad.
