Amarillo – Several Injured in Two-Car Collision on Amarillo Blvd

Amarillo law enforcement officials are investigating a crash on Amarillo Boulevard near North Polk Street, Monday night.

Just after 10:00 p.m., police were called onto Amarillo Blvd near North Polk St. A 2008 Acura MDX was heading north on North Polk when it crashed into a 2013 Honda Accord that was traveling along the eastbound lane of Amarillo. The impact of the crash left three occupants in the Honda with life-threatening injuries. They were taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries while an occupant in the Acura was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. No identification has been released as authorities are still trying to get in touch with their next of kin.

Investigators are still determining the cause of the crash but they believe that alcohol may have played a role in the incident.
