Amarillo – Pedestrian Struck by Car on Interstate 27

The Amarillo Police Department is conducting an investigation about a pedestrian crash on Interstate 27, January 27th, Friday.
According to the report released by Amarillo responding officers, the incident took place on the I-27 access road at Georgia. A vehicle was seen traveling along the highway when it hit an unidentified person. The impact of the crash left the pedestrian with minor injuries. He was rushed to an area hospital where he is expected to recover.
There were no other injuries reported.
Local investigators were also requested at the scene to determine the circumstances leading up to the incident. Anyone who has information relevant to the case is encouraged to get in touch with APD.
