Amarillo – Motorcycle Collision on Interstate 40 Leaves Woman Dead

A woman was sent to the hospital following a major collision on Interstate 40 in Amarillo, Wednesday morning.
Just after 6:00 a.m., police received a call reporting a motorcycle accident along the 660 block of Interstate 40. A motorcycle was reportedly traveling along the highway when it suddenly struck a curb and went airborne. The female rider of the motorcycle was ejected from the bike and landed on the ground with serious injuries. She was taken to the hospital where she was listed in unknown condition. Responding officers believed her injuries are life-threatening.
The Amarillo Police Department was also requested at the scene to determine the reason that caused the victim to lose control of her bike.
An investigation is underway.
