Amarillo – Motorcycle Accident on Texas 136

A motorcycle collision on Texas Highway 136 sent one person to a hospital last July 1, according to a local news source.
A preliminary investigation indicates that the incident happened on Highway 136 south of the Alibates Flint Quarries National Monument. Police said that a motorcycle was seen traveling along the highway when, for reasons that had not been determined, went out of control and swerved into a ditch.
The impact of the collision left the rider with head injuries. He was rushed to an area hospital where he received proper medical treatment.
The Amarillo Police Department was requested at the scene to determine the cause of the crash. They said that the motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet during the time of the incident.
An investigation is ongoing.
