Amarillo – Monday Crash on FM1541 Turned Deadly

A fatal car accident on Farm to Market 1541 Road resulted in the death of two people and injury to one person, Monday morning.
According to a local news source, a truck hauling a semi-trailer was backing up across FM 1541 into a warehouse loading dock when it was struck by a northbound tow truck. The impact of the crash caused the cab of the truck to detach from the trailer. What caused the trailer to crash into the semi is yet to be determined by local police officers.
The driver of the truck, identified as Christopher Riddley, sustained injuries that were considered non-life threatening. He was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, The tow truck driver and his passenger were pronounced dead at the scene. They were identified as Adam Taulbee of Austin and Laura Almanza of Lubbock.
The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the crash.
