Amarillo – Man Seriously Injured by Car on South Coulter St

A yet to be identified man was rushed to a hospital with serious injuries after getting hit by a motor vehicle on South Coulter Street, Monday.
In an unspecified time in the afternoon, Amarillo local officers were requested to assist in a pedestrian vs car accident on South Coulter near 45th Avenue. According to initial reports, a man was attempting to cross the street when a passing vehicle struck him. The impact of the crash left him with potentially life-threatening injuries. He was immediately taken to an area hospital where he was listed in unknown condition.
Authorities did not release the victim’s identification pending notification of his immediate family.
Whether the driver stayed at the scene of not remains unknown at this time. The crash is still under investigation by the Amarillo Police Department.
