Amarillo – Man Killed in Amarillo Boulevard Identified

The Amarillo Police Department has released the name of the victim who passed away after getting involved in a car accident on East Amarillo Boulevard, Monday.
The fatality was identified as 53-year-old Freddy Buckingham.
Buckingham was driving a 2006 Lincoln along the eastbound lane of E Amarillo Blvd when, for reasons that had not yet been determined, it crashed into a semi-truck traveling on the roadway. The Lincoln then spun and then collided with a 2018 Chevrolet Camaro. The impact of the cash seriously injured Buckingham in the process. He was rushed to a hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. Police did not release information about the driver of the Chevrolet and semi-truck.
No one else was injured.
Area investigators were requested at the scene to determine liability.
