Abilene – One Injured in Two-Car Crash on South 27th Street

Last Thursday, a t-bone collision between an SUV and another car took place on South 27th Street, a local news source reported.
Based on the initial investigation, the accident occurred near Woodard Street when a a vehicle that was traveling along the roadway got struck by a sport utility vehicle as it pulled onto South 27th St. The impact of the crash trapped the female driver of the car inside. She was extricated by local firefighters using the Jaws of Life and transported to a nearby hospital with various injuries to the neck and head. No identification has been released at this time.
The driver of the SUV was not hurt.
The Abilene Police Department has yet to determine liability as the investigation is still in progress.
