Abilene – Bicyclist Injured on South 14th Street Following Crash

The Abilene Police Department is investigating a car accident on South 14th Street, last April 7, according to a local news source.
In an unspecified time in the afternoon, local responders were dispatched to assist in a crash on South 14th Street near the KTAB/KRBC studio. A bicyclist was traveling along the road when it got struck by a vehicle. An initial investigation shows that the vehicle was not able to give way to the bicyclist who was crossing over.
The bicyclist was knocked down, sustaining injuries from the force of the impact. He was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. The extent of his injuries was not immediately released.
Emergency crews arrived at the scene to assist in the clearing of the site. No charges have been made as investigators are still determining liability.
