Paris– Pedestrian Accident on North Main Street

The Paris Police Department is conducting an investigation regarding a car accident that killed one pedestrian on North Main Street last Sunday.

At an unspecified time in the morning last Saturday, local emergency crews were requested at the 2300 block of North Main Street. According to initial reports, a woman was walking in the outside northbound lane of the road when she was struck by a white pickup truck. The force of impact seriously injured the pedestrian who was identified as a 58-year-old woman. She was rushed to Paris Regional Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.

Investigators did not release any information about the driver. The crash remains under investigation.
