Pedestrian dies in fatal wreck on the Gulf Freeway

HOUSTON, TX – A pedestrian died in a fatal wreck on the Gulf Freeway on Wednesday evening, according to the team at the Houston Police Department.
The victim was crossing the road when he was struck by a passing car near the freeway’s 900 block. The victim was declared dead at the scene by emergency personnel.
The 24-year-old driver remained at the scene and told authorities he was drinking and smoking marijuana before the crash. He has since been arrested for a DWI.
