UPDATE: HPD arrests man in connection to fatal North Shepherd pedestrian accident

HOUSTON, TX – The Houston Police Department arrested a man in connection to Monday night’s fatal North Shepherd pedestrian accident.
Rigoberto Fernandez was driving a white Chevrolet Tahoe near 7400 North Shepherd Drive when he lost control of his vehicle, hitting a pedestrian who was standing at a curb on West Little York Road. The victim was declared dead at the scene.
Fernandez was determined to be drunk at the time of the crash. He has been charged with intoxication manslaughter.
